ANIMAL CLINIC

LOW COST VETERINARY SERVICES

Jeffrey W. Miller, DVM,
graduated from the University of California Davis in 1974. He is the owner of Vets for Less, Inc., and has practiced exclusively on small animals for over 31 years.

Jeff grew up on a farm in Connecticut and came west while serving in the United States Navy. His outside interests include farming and Field Trialing English Springer Spaniels on pheasants. Two of Jeff's dogs are in the Field Trial Hall of Fame, located in Grand Junction, Tennessee, and five of Jeff's dogs have become National Field Trail Champions in the United States and Canada. Jeff's expertise as a dog trainer has been invaluable in helping our clients who have pets with behavior problems. He understands the AKC show and field areas, and understands the needs of our clients involved in these events. Jeff has also written numerous articles for dog magazines, and has been featured on an episode of "Breed All About It" on the Animal Planet.

Jeff lives on a farm in Rochester, WA with his wife Sheila and their daughter Grace.

Rebecca J. Kling, DVM,
graduated from Washington State University in 2005. She is currently working for Vets for Less in Federal Way full time and comes from a mixed animal practice background. From the age of 14 on Becky knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian and spent her spare time in high school and college working with a local mixed animal practice.

Becky grew up in the Bonney Lake/Buckley area and graduated as valedictorian from White River High School. Her interests include horses/trail riding, running and reading. She spends time with family, friends, and her own "family", and Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever cross, and Warm blood mare. Becky currently resides in Wilkeson, WA and spends plenty of time refurbishing her 100 year-old house.

BenDetta Dickerson, DVM
graduated from Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1996. She is the third full-time veterinarian at Vets for Less Animal Clinic in Federal Way, WA. She wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 8 years old. She comes from a background of small animal medicine with an emphasis in both exotic animals and pocket pets.

Although BenDetta was born in Stamford, CT, she lived in Seattle for most of her life and is the oldest of four children. She graduated from Cleveland High School and has worked in veterinary medicine off and on since she was 17 years old. She has worked at both daytime practices and at an emergency clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from WSU. She did, however, take a break from veterinary medicine to work in the legal field. She worked in both litigation and bankruptcy before applying to veterinary school.

Her two large dogs and geriatric cat take up most of her spare time. She enjoys reading mysteries, cooking, and watching her favorite show ("Monk") on television. She is also in the process of writing a cookbook.

Rebecca L. Birchmeier, DVM,
graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.  She has joined our practice from a clinic in Salem, Oregon, where she had a background in small animal medicine and wildlife, with a special interest in surgery.

Becky was born in Livonia, Michigan, and lived in the Detroit area until she graduated from Michigan State and moved to Oregon.  Besides small animal practice she is a volunteer with the Oregon Veterinary Emergency Response Team and the feral cat coalition of Oregon.

Becky has several pets, both cats and dogs.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, travel, and making jewelry.  She is also currently training for a 60 mile walk to raise money for breast cancer research.

Erin Earle, LVT,
is a Licensed Veterinary Technician.  She graduated from the veterinary technician program at Pierce College in Steilacoom, WA in 2006.  She joined Vets for Less in September of 2006.

Erin was raised in Federal Way, WA, although she now resides in Pierce County. She enjoys camping, jogging, and learning to cook.  When she is away from the clinic she spends her time relaxing at home and taking her black Labrador mix, Benson, to the lake for a swim or for a long walk.

Bobbie M. Knapp                                 is the full time Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Vets For Less Animal Clinic.  She resides in Auburn with her four year old son Travis and their two Pembroke Welsh Corgis.  She enjoys cooking, reading, and horseback riding.
